Fishing for tigerfish and bream along the Zambezi River and on Lake Kariba is a very exciting event. The camps will carry most of the equipment needed. But if you are doing flyfishing let us know in advance and we can arrange for the equipment to be brought in that is if you dont want to bring your own. Boats, tackle, worms and lures are at the camp but if you want to bring you own special things please advise us.
GAME VIEWING BY VEHICLE
Usually the game vehicles can only hold 5 to 6 passengers. Most camps offer private vehicles at an extra cost. The vehicles are equipped with radios so that there is always contact with the base camp. Game viewing drives are usually offered twice a day. An early morning and late afternoon game drive. If you do not want to return to camp for lunch we can always arrange a picnic lunch somewhere along the route. Your private guide will accompany you along the way and answer all your questions.
Canoeing safaris are also offered in the Zambezi area and on Kariba Lake as well as other water areas in other countries. We can arrange a 3, 5 or 8 day canoeing safari or the other option is to stay in one of our camps along the river and we can do an early morning or a late afternoon canoeing trip. For the more daring guest, we can do a full day canoeing trip stopping for lunch on one of the islands. There are only 2 people allowing in each canoe and the more novice canoer will be with the more experienced river guide. There is always a very experienced river guide and another well trained guide as a back up for the group.
Walking Safaris are offered at most of the camps around Zimbabwe and in other countries. There are normally 2 walks offered in the day. One in the early morning and one in the late afternoon. Walks are done with your private guide who will be carrying a weapon and another well trained guide as a back up.
