Itinerary and movements

October 20    Thursday
Day 1    Arr. JHB Int. Airport- Transfer via road to 131 Herbert Baker, Pretoria – overnight.

October 21    Friday
Day 2    Transfer back to JHB Int. airport and take flight to Victoria Falls, Road transfer to Hwange National Park in to the heart of the park to Somalisa Camp.

October 22    Saturday
Day 3    Somalisa Camp, Hwange.  One the the best elephant experiences we have ever had was at this camp.  All game viewing activities and walking.

October 23    Sunday
Day 4    Somalisa Camp, Hwange.  Game viewing activities and walking.  Or just lazing by the pool and watching the elephants come to the pool to drink.

October 24    Monday
Day 5    Transfer via private charter from Hwange to Dandawa airstrip in Mana Pools National Park and drive to the Zambezi River to stay at the Zambezi Lifestyles Tented camp.

October 25    Tuesday
Day 6    Zambezi Lifestyles tented camp.  Activity options will be focused around walking on the flood plain with a professional guide, canoeing excursions and some game driving and fishing for tiger fish on the river.

October 26    Wednesday
Day 7    Transfer via road from the Zambezi tented camp to Kanga Bush Camp situated on the Kanga Pan in Mana Pools.  Game viewing along the way, walking and relaxing near the pan, watching the animals come to drink.

October 27    Thursday
Day 8    Kanga Bush Camp.  Game viewing and walking. The camp is situated around a Pan and all day long animals come down to the water to drink.  There really is no need to go out for a game drive as everything comes to you.

October 28    Friday
Day 9    Kanga Bush Camp.  Game viewing and walking.  This is one of the best camps to see Wild dog come down to the pan to drink.

October 29    Saturday
Day 10    Road transfer from Mana Pools to Kariba (approximately 4 hours) and then take a boat transfer (approx. 1 hour) over to Matusadona National Park where you will stay at Musango Safari Camp on Musango Island.

October 30    Sunday
Day 11    Musango Safari Camp.  Game viewing by boat along the Matusadona National Park shoreline and fishing for bream and tiger fish and some walking options in Matusadona.

October 31    Monday
Day 12    Musango Safari Camp.  Game viewing by boat along the Matusadona National Park shoreline and fishing for bream and tiger fish and some walking options in Matusadona.

November 1    Tuesday
Day 13    Transfer via boat to Bumi Hills Airstrip and private charter from Bumi Hills to Lonestar airstrip and transfer via road to Pamushana Lodge where you will stay in your own private villa.

November 2    Wednesday
Day 14    Pamushana Lodge.  Game viewing, day visit to Gona Re Zhou National Park (one of Ians favourites) and visit bushman rock art sites.  This is one of the best places to see White and Black Rhino in the same area.

November 3    Thursday
Day 15    Early morning transfer from Pamushana to Lonestar airstrip and take commercial flight back to Johannesburg.  Overnight again at 131 Herbert Baker.  Relax and unwind and there is a super shopping Mall about 8 minutes from 131 Herbert Baker where you can purchase some super items including some Mandela Commemorative Gold coins from the Scoin shop.  The manager can also set up some spa appointments if you wish.

November 4    Friday
Day 16    Mid day transfer from 131 Herbert Baker to the Johannesburg International airport (OR Tambo) and you can do an early check in for your International Flight back to the USA.  The airport has many shops where you can purchase African artifacts and basket ware and African wines.  There are several restaurants in the departure lounges as well.
